Religious procession in honor
of the holy martyr Athanasius of Brest

Orthodox religious procession takes place every year on the day of memory of the holy martyr Athanasius. Several hundred people take part in it. There are priests, monks, laymen on it. Archbishop of Brest serves the liturgy in the monastery of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin. After the liturgy people walk several kilometers to the monastery of St. Athanasius. This is one of the main religious holidays in the Brest region.
